Admissions process

Submit the online application, pay the non-refundable $50 application fee, and upload a Birth Certificate, PR Card or Passport as proof of Canadian residence and age. · As of January 2024, all grades were full and applicants were placed on a sequential waiting list. Applications roll over to subsequent years without additional charge if no spot becomes available. · When a spot becomes available, complete the registration processing form, pay the $100 Registration Processing and Testing Fee, and provide required documents, including report cards from the past two sessions for applicants ages 5 and up. · Applicants meeting minimum requirements take an entrance assessment covering grade-level reading and mathematics. · Following a successful assessment, prospective students and parents attend an interview with AHES staff. · Following acceptance, pay the non-refundable Materials Fee and Last Month’s Fee within one week to reserve the spot and complete all registration requirements by the communicated deadlines. · Grade placement is based on birthdate according to the Ontario Ministry system. · Hifdh applicants must first secure AHES admission, then undergo separate selection based on Qur’an reading fluency, Makharij, Tajweed, a recent report card, an interview and overall Hifdh readiness.

Discount exclusions: Sibling, staff and financial-aid discounts do not apply to the last month’s tuition. Sibling discounts apply to September–May fees.

Course descriptions

Montessori early years

The school offers Montessori learning for early years, with child-centered learning and an 11:1 Montessori teacher-student ratio reported on the current homepage.

Grades 1–8 integrated curriculum

Ontario Ministry curriculum outcomes are used as a starting point for literacy, numeracy, and world knowledge. Islamic concepts are integrated across mainstream subjects, with systematic instruction and differentiated support.

Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies

Students receive Qur’an instruction daily. The program includes foundational recitation, tajweed, memorization, vocabulary and meaning, reflection, Arabic language, Islamic Studies, hadith, seerah, and character themes.

Integrated Hifdh pathway

The school describes an integrated Hifdh program alongside academic study. Older public materials describe a dedicated stream; current admissions pages include Hifdh tuition for Grades 4–8.
